The UCSB Chancellor’s Outreach Advisory Board (COAB) was established in 1999.
COAB is comprised of faculty, staff and students working to advance a range of campus initiatives supported by funding from UC Santa Barbara and UC Office of the President. The board meets quarterly, shares information about current initiatives, and provides outreach resources through the Faculty Outreach Grants initiative.
Purpose: The primary function of COAB is to share information about current outreach initiatives on- and off-campus, to inform those involved in outreach and community based partnerships, and to share best practices from those involved in K12 academic preparation, transfer initiatives, and student initiated outreach efforts.
